Growing in faith is the aim of every Christian who is committed to deepening their relationship with Christ. At St. Barnabas, we offer a Bible study at 9 a.m. on Sundays, prior to the 10 a.m. service. Our small group selects a book of the Bible to study, and then we take turns reading through the text and commenting on its significance for our daily lives.
On Wednesdays during the school year, we hold a noonday prayer service via Zoom in which we also discuss the holy women and holy men who feature on the Church’s liturgical calendar for that day. This enables us to learn about the people and events that have shaped the church’s witness to Jesus Christ over the years.
In addition, during the seasons of Lent and Advent we read a spiritual book during the week and then discuss it at a Zoom call, typically on a Thursday night, ending with the service of Compline.
Children are welcome at St. Barnabas! We provide cartoon coloring books on the Gospel lesson of the day for children to work on during the service. We now have almost enough children to consider reviving our Sunday school! Watch this space for news.
