Teenagers are creative, talented and savvy. They crave a dynamic youth group experience that will give them a place to belong and an opportunity to grow through self expression, team building adventures, service to others and a better understanding of their relationship with Christ.
The Youth Group at St. Barnabas is made of middle and high school age youth. The objective of the program is to help engage the youth of St. Barnabas in the community, insure they have a foundational understanding of how our parish operates, and of course provide an opportunity for fellowship among our younger parishioners.
We hold bi-monthly meetings which include a mixture of lessons, community service and fun events. We have helped the Outreach ministry by packing E.S.C.A.P.E. lunches and the Building & Grounds Committee in the Parish Work Days. We’ve raised funds for Youth Group activities by helping out with the annual meeting, hosting a local car wash, and working at the “Nearly New” sale at the parish.
